Deli Dividends

Launching Deli Dividends 12/09/2025

With Sam’s usual irreverence to wine tasting formality come and hear the back stories to the wines and why they make it on to the Fredricks shelves.

Six wines for September – The tasting is open to all. Tickets are £10 per person

It’s time to show your wine rack some love.

Grenache is perfect for September, it can still be light and fruit forward, but can offer up a bit more depth and complexity than the higher acid wines that were just perfect for chilling in the garden.

The Swartand – Cinsault, Syrah dominated reds that work just as well with a roast as they do with a BBQ

Out is Vinho Verde – In is Viognier – soft and warming but still tropical

You can book tickets online here: But there’s still time to take advantage of our first dividend payout and grab your ticket for just £2.50 …

There will also be a Q&A on the Deli Dividends subscription and a chance for us to share some of the plans we have for this deli markets hottest new commodity.

If you sign up to the subscription before the 12th September you’ll receive your first dividend. A ticket to this tasting.

Book your tickets here if you ONLY want a ticket to the tasting.

Volcanic wines – A retrospective tasting

How to follow an Ilfestia? Well a retrospective volcanic tasting of course!

Three reasons to book onto this tasting:

  1. You missed Ilfestia and did not get to experience these special wines.
  2. You enjoyed Ilfestia and the volcanic wines but did not get to taste them all (or want to try them again!)
  3. You love volcanic wines and simply want to taste and find out more

An In Store Pour exploring wines that are grown in and around volcanic soil, and the unique influence and issues that arise from growing grapes and wine making in such conditions.

ilfestia

This year, our annual outdoor event embraces the idea of the Volcano and Volcanic wines. Inspired by our trip to Vin Itago on the island of Tenerife, and borrowing the name from the Santorini festival, Ifestia, we welcome people to enjoy the courtyard whilst sipping some amazing wine.

This ticket is for General Admission – it includes a glass of wine on arrival and a tapa of papas arrugadas with mojo sauce.

Wine Flight: £15 per person

Three glasses chosen and paired with each course.

My thoughts are to start with something from Sicily. Catarratto is often described with a citrus and apple character, and ansonica from the south a more salter, sharper style should pick out the classic garnishes of both dishes.

A high altitude Argentine Chardonnay should be rich and textural to compliment the artichoke (often criticised as difficult wine match)

We can finish with either a glass or red wine or sweet wine.
